General Information

• Abstracts can only be submitted electronically through the registration platform on the official Congress website. No hardcopy submission is required.
• Abstract submission requires creating an account. Please note that submitting an abstract does not register you for the conference.
• Please read all instructions carefully. Abstracts not prepared in accordance with the guidelines will not be accepted.
• You may submit more than one abstract through the submission system (please use the same email address for all submissions).

  Submission Deadline: 15 April 2026, 23:59 hrs (GMT+8)

  Late submissions will not be accepted.

• Your abstract will be published exactly as submitted, either in print or electronically. Please ensure all information is accurate before submission.
• The presenting author will be the sole corresponding author recognised by the Congress and is responsible for the content of the study. Submission implies that consent has been obtained from all co-authors.
• Detailed presentation guidelines will be provided to all presenting authors after abstract acceptance and closer to the Congress date.
• Upon successful submission, an acknowledgement email will be sent.
• All abstracts will undergo peer review by a panel of expert reviewers. Accepted abstracts may be selected for oral and/or e-poster presentation.
• Oral presenters are required to submit an e-poster as well.
• Oral presentations must be delivered in person
• The Scientific Committee reserves the right to assign the presentation format and re-categorise any accepted abstract.
• The Committee's decision is final and irrevocable.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• All abstracts submitted must be in English.
• The abstract title should not exceed 200 characters.
• The abstract should not exceed 300 words, which should include headings for Introduction, Methods, Results, and Conclusion.
• Abstracts should contain original material that has neither been published nor presented at another meeting at the time of submission. In addition, abstracts should not be submitted to meetings scheduled before the MSN Congress 2026. Multiple abstracts based on the same study will be summarily rejected.
• Abstracts submitted must follow the abstract submission guidelines, instructions and required information as stated.
• Authors of abstracts accepted for presentation MUST be registered delegates and be responsible for all expenses incurred in the production of their presentations, travel and accommodation during the Congress.
• Once an abstract is selected, at least one of the authors of the abstract MUST register for the congress. Payment for congress registration should be received by the congress secretariat before 16 June 2026 to ensure your abstracts are published in the Congress E-Programme book.

Submission Guideline 

Abstract Category

• Please select the category which BEST describes the content of your abstract. Categories are used for review and indexing.

Abstract Title

• ALL IN CAPITAL LETTERS. The title is limited to 200 characters, excluding spaces, and should be brief and relevant. Special characters should NOT be used in your title but spelt out instead (e.g. α should be written as alpha, β as beta). Only use standard abbreviations in the title.

Authors and Affiliations

• The first author listed must be the Presenting/Attending Author. Type the authors’ names in (first name-last name/surname) surname-last format and capitalise the first letter of each name, according to the format and example given. Authors’ affiliation should contain the name of the institution, city and country. When more than one author is listed, use numbers (no superscripts) to match authors and institutions. Capitalise words only as required.

Abstract Body

• Structure: The abstract should have the following sub-headings:
  • ​Introduction
  • Methodology
  • Results
  • Conclusions
• Layout: Please fill in according to the sections provided. Do not include graphs, tables or illustrations in the abstract.
• Word count: The abstract body is limited to a total of 300 words.
• Only commonly accepted abbreviations should be used (e.g. OGTT, IGT, ACEI). Less widely recognised abbreviations may be used if introduced on first usage (e.g. ambulatory blood pressure monitoring, ABPM).
• Only approved and generic (non-proprietary) drug names should be used.
• Do NOT enter the title, authors, or grant information into the abstract body submission field.
• Please ensure that your abstract does not contain spelling, grammatical or scientific errors, as it will be produced in the abstract/programme book exactly as submitted.

Oral Presentation

• The scheduled time for each presentation will be 8 minutes, followed by a 2 minutes discussion period.
• Projection will be made via a standard LCD projector.
• Slides using powerpoint format must be handed to the technician in the Slide Preview Room at least 3 hours before the scheduled sessions.

E-Poster Presentation

The E-Poster will be made available for physical viewing at the Congress from the 24th till 26th of July 2026. There will not be any physical posters at this Congress. All successful delegates whose abstracts have been accepted for poster presentations should upload their E-Posters to the Congress website portal by 30 June 2026, logging in with their personal account.

The E-Poster must be converted to PDF format before upload. An example E-Poster template is available for download below; feel free to modify it as needed.

E-Poster Size and Format Guideline

• E-Poster should be composed in vertical format (9:16 ratio).
• E-poster should consist of ONE presentation slide only.
• Text and presentation should be in English only.
• The content of the E-Poster should consist of the following details:
  • Abstract number (e.g. A-0001) on the top left corner of your E-Poster.
  • Title of the E-Poster – Should be brief and is in accordance with the title of the abstract submitted.
  • The logo of the affiliated institution or university should be placed on the upper right corner.
  • Names and affiliations of all authors.
• Arial font should be used throughout the E-Poster with such clarity that it can be read clearly.
• The title and subheadings should be written in bold. Recommended avoiding italics, as they are harder to read.
   

 Illustrations and Usage of Colours in E-Poster

• Illustrations are the most important part of the E-Poster and will attract the most attention. Colourful charts and graphs are the easiest to read. Explanatory illustrations should be used instead of text whenever possible.
• Use only static images and do not embed any videos or animations in your E-Poster.
• Try to utilise the space on your E-Poster as creatively as you can to attract the audience and make sure that the images are easy to understand.
• Please be considerate when using colours for the presentation, keep only 2-3 colours, as this would be a formal scientific poster presentation. Please select background colours that contrast well with the font to improve readability. Avoid backgrounds with bright or dark colours and heavy textures, as these can distract readers.
• Make sure that any photographs or figures being used in the E-Poster are of sufficient size so that they are clearly visible. The number of photographs should be limited to only those that are essential and relevant for the E-Poster (preferably not exceeding 4-6 photos).
• Do not submit any photographs or pictures that are not relevant to the text, such as cartoon characters, etc.
• Graphs and tables should be well organised, and the font used should be of a size that is easy to read.

Award Categories

1. Young Investigator Award (Oral Presentation)

The YIA is open to young doctors, dietitians and pharmacists aged 40 years and below as of 31 December 2024. Awards will be given based on innovation, originality, and high impact on nephrology advances.

2. The Best Paper Award (Oral Presentation)

This award is open to paramedics with no age limit. Awards will be given based on a high-quality presentation in nephrology research and clinical experience.

3. Poster Presentation Award

This award is open to all researchers, no age limit. Awards will be given to submitted e-posters that have interesting research questions and findings in any related areas of nephrology.

The Prizes

The winners for all awards will be announced during the closing ceremony. Each winner will receive a certificate and cash prizes. The judges' decision will be final.
